Nimzovich's classic book, for the first time in Portuguese.
“Restrict, block, destroy!”, the battle cry of the great chess writer and player Aaron Nimzovich, echoes among players such as Reuben Fine and Tigran Petrosian, among others, almost a century after the publication of the book The Blockade. Later overshadowed by his classics "My System" and "The Practice of My System", this pioneering book is now rescued and published for the first time, translated into Spanish by Antonio Gude, by Editora Solis. The approach developed by Aaron Nimzovich, patriarch of modern chess and creator of hypermodernism, clearly teaches the chess student many important aspects of the game. Written shortly after the end of the First World War, the teachings of The Blockade reflect on the board the military thinking of the time, namely trench warfare and the strategy of conquering territories. Nimzovich's ideas remain relevant today and are considered essential reading for the development of chess players. Editora Solis, a pioneer in publishing Nimzovich's work in Portuguese, completes its bibliography in this language with the publication of O Bloqueio, in addition to publishing it for the first time in Spanish.
